In the UK, Smith’s debut sold 20,000 more than Coldplay’s ‘Ghost Stories’ in the same week forcing the Coldplay album into a number two debut. Since its release in May 2014, ‘In The Lonely Hour’ has continued to be one of the world’s biggest selling albums. His only cover is the Richard Rodgers classic ‘My Funny Valentine’. Smith has centred the entire show around the album playing songs from the various editions of the record released around the world. The singer will embark on a series of live shows next March in support of his debut album In The Lonely Hour, which returned to number one in the UK on Sunday (September 7). Sam Smith has announced a UK tour for 2015.
